28 September – Scandinavia, the failed Italy

SCANDINAVIA, THE FAILED ITALY
– on the potential of a united Scandinavia –
The world has often looked to the Nordics for inspiration and guidance as it has been considered an ideal example of well-functioning international cooperation — but are there other ways of looking at it? What if the Nordics were not a group of cooperating nations, but a country itself? In this lecture, Johan Lindblad will argue for the possibility of federalization for Nordic countries.
Johan Lindblad is currently working as a senior advisor at the Nordic Council with special responsibility for political matters such as trade, finance and energy. He has previously worked for the the Nordic Council of Ministers with issues concerning the free movement of goods and people. Today Johan is chairman of the organization SKANDINAVIA, that aims for a federal Scandinavia.
This lecture will be held in Swedish.
