Do you dream of a career in international relations? Do you want to create some contacts or maybe get some insight into what a job could look like? Come join our group!

About this group

The Career section of UF Uppsala aims to give members an insight into what a career in foreign affairs means. Striving to provide our members with opportunities to network with potential employers for internships and job opportunities, we organize seminars, prep courses, mingle evenings and panel discussions.

The Career Group consists of one Head of Careers, one Career assistant and ambitious students who are willing to put time and effort in to providing inspiration and knowledge regarding career opportunities for our members.

Since the Career Group started during the operational year of 2017/2018, there is still an amazing chance to shape and form which way the Career path should take. Do you want to build up a mentorship programme? Organize a networking event? Become an expert in handing out business cards? Being a member of the Career Group requires creativity, organizational- and communicative skills as well as ambition and a passion for foreign affairs.

The Career Group furthermore consists of two project leaders for Career Day. Career Day is a one-day fair where students in politics and social sciences get to meet employers from both the public and private sectors. It is organized by UF Uppsala alongside Uppsala Politicesstuderande, UpaD, Pax et Bellum and Föreningen Samhällsvetarna. As a member of the project group, you will not only get valuable experience in organizing big events, but also an end result that hundreds of students will benefit from and enjoy.
