Commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of the 1972 UN Conference on the Human Environment, the 2-3 June 2022 will also see Sweden’s capital host Stockholm+50. An international environmental meeting, Stockholm+50 has been convened by the United Nations to tackle the continuing triple planetary crisis of climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss. This lecture will tell the evolution of fifty years of environmental summitry, where we are today with regards to climate change cooperation and leadership, and what this means for the future of the planet. The lecture speaker is Charles Parker, Associate Professor of Political Science at Uppsala University.
