Jan Eliasson will be visiting us for a lecture, Q&A-session and book-signing. In his lecture, Mr. Eliasson will discuss Sweden’s role in the international community and the world at large, recount his experiences as a top diplomat and mediator, as well as analyze what the future might hold for international security and stability. There will also be an opportunity to purchase Mr. Eliasson’s recently published memoirs.
The lecture will be held in English.

About the lecturer:
Jan Eliasson is a former Deputy Secretary-General of the UN, former President of the General Assumebly of the UN, former Swedish ambassador to both the UN and US, former Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs, and honorary doctor at Uppsala University. Following a long and eventful career as a top diplomat and mediator, Jan Eliasson summarizes his experiences in his memoirs ”Ord och handling: Ett liv i diplomatins tjänst.”
