LECTURE: What is happening in Japan?

Japan has had a stagnant economy for decades, on the political side there has been a constant change of prime ministers. The current one, Shinzo Abe, annonced a number of changes when he came to power in 2012, both in domestic and foreign policy.
The so called “Abenomics” is his economic policy to revitalize the economy and trought structrual changes get more more women into the job market. He is talkning about a “proactive contribution to peace” – but will it really lead to any changes?
Here to answer your questions is Marie Söderberg, Director of The European Institute of Japanese Studies and guest professor at Osaka University.
