New trustee position – International Co-ordinator

The Uppsala Association of International Affairs is looking to fill the newly created position of international coordinator. The international coordinator is charged with establishing an international network for the organization; building contacts with similar organizations abroad, universities, NGOs and other relevant actors. The aim of the international coordinator of 2014/2015 is to start building a long term international network for the association, investigate and encourage possibilities for cooperation and exchange with the goal of benefitting both the Uppsala Association of International Affairs and the other actors involved. The international coordinator reports directly and continuously to the board of the association, at the intervals the board finds suitable.
The international coordinator should be an independent person:
– With a good initiative,
– With good social skills,
– Proficiency in English required (other languages are also meriting) in both writing and speaking.
The international coordinator must be prepared to dedicate a minimum of five hours per week to the post. The position will allow for great freedom, and the international coordinator can develop his/her work in any way that seems fit, as long as the board does not object.
The initial trustee post is only from the middle of april to end of July, but preference will be given to applicants interested in remaining at the post for att least all of 2015.
