26 Jan – Panel Discussion: Where is Turkey heading?

PANEL DISCUSSION: Where is Turkey heading?
The coup attempt in Turkey last summer failed but the country is far from stable, the attempt became the start of a series of events that has drawn the attention of the world. The human right situation deteriorated markedly following parliamentary elections in June and the outbreak of Kurdistans Workers Part (PKK) and the Turkish armed forces in July. The arrests of thousands of public employees continues and the right to freedom of peaceful assembly continued to be violated. How has the coup attempt affectet the turkish society and how does the purges affect the freedom of speach? Listen to a panel discussion about the current situation in Turkey today.
We are proud to present the panellists contributing in this seminar:
The author and debater Kurdo Baksi, the journalist Joakim Medin and the member parliament from HDP Tugba Hezer Özturk.
