The second lecture of the month of March will give us an insight to an inside government perspective on the role of strategy for and by leadership in an era of dire security challenges.
The lecturer this time – Dr Hans-Christian Hagman is Chief Strategist and Senior Adviser to the Swedish National Security Adviser in the Prime Minister’s Office. He is responsible for strategic analysis and security related strategies, including the Swedish National Security Strategy. He is also an expert in the parliamentarian Defence Commission.
The lecture will contain leadership skills, strategies for government and foresight security policies. Come and tap into Dr Hagman’s pool of strategic knowledge!

About the lecturer:
Dr Hagman has served in the Swedish Government Offices since 2000 and led the Officer for Strategic Analysis in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister’s Office and headed strategic analysis in the Ministry of Defence.
Previously he was with the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London, the Swedish Military Intelligence and Security Service, Adviser to the Military Leadership in the Armed Forces HQ and guest researcher with the Swedish Institute for Foreign Affairs and the National Defence Research Establishment.
He is a Major in the Reserves (Amphibious Forces), a UN-veteran, has a PhD in War Studies and has lectured on strategy, leadership, security policy and strategic foresight at Harvard, Oxford, Princeton, Texas A&M, Georgetown and George Washington universities, amongst others.
