What is UF Uppsala?
UF Uppsala is an association dedicated to global affairs. We provide a platform for discussions on international issues, networking opportunities, and ways to actively engage with foreign affairs. Our goal is to create an inclusive space where everyone, regardless of experience, can participate and contribute.
How Can You Get Involved?
There are many ways to take part in UF Uppsala. Attend lectures, contribute to our magazine, join study trips, or get involved in organizing events. Whether you’re interested in debating, media production, career development, or social activities, there’s a place for you.

Social and Networking
If you want to get to know people that shares your interest for foreign affairs, the activities we organize are the best for increasing your social network. The best way to never miss an activity is to follow us through social media and ge the latest news. Particularly Instagram.
The Debate Society hosts weekly debates on a variety of topics, ranging from geopolitics and economics to culture, sustainability, and more. These debates offer a space to engage with different perspectives, practice critical thinking, and refine public speaking skills.
The debates normally take place on Thursdays 18:30 – 20:00

Building Knowledge From Influential Speakers
UF Uppsala invites influential speakers from politics, journalism, activism, and diplomacy to share their insights on global affairs. Past guests include Kofi Annan, Ban Ki-moon, and Hans Blix, among many others. The Lecture Committee organizes these events, providing members with the opportunity to engage with leading voices in international discussions. Follow us on social media for updates on upcoming lectures.
Radio UF explores global affairs through in-depth discussions and fresh perspectives on current events. Broadcasting live on Studentradion 98.9 every Monday at 17:00, the show covers a wide range of topics, from world politics to underreported stories. Students can join the team to gain hands-on experience in research, production, and live broadcasting.
Portfolio-Building
The Career Committee helps students explore career paths in foreign affairs by organizing networking events, panel discussions, and skill-building workshops. Career Day brings together organizations offering job and internship opportunities, while The Academy of Foreign Politics provides seminars and networking sessions to support professional development. Members can also join the Career Group to contribute ideas and help shape career-related events.
Uttryck Magazine is UF Uppsala’s publication on global affairs, available in print and online. It features articles in Swedish and English, covering topics like politics, culture, and international relations. Students can contribute as writers, editors, illustrators, or video producers. Calls for contributors are announced on social media.
Arts, Public Relations and Comms
In the PR Committee we consistently look for individuals interested in Graphic Design, Illustration, Photography, Marketing, Social Media Management, SEO, Data Analysis, Web Management, and more.

Trips and Entertainment
UF Uppsala organizes study trips each semester, offering members the chance to explore international affairs firsthand. Destinations are chosen for their political, cultural, or economic significance, with past trips including visits to NGOs, government institutions, and global organizations. The Travel Committee helps plan these trips, and all members are welcome to join. Follow us on social media for updates on upcoming destinations.
The Activity Committee arranges social events that bring members together in a fun and engaging way. From quiz nights and film screenings to themed parties and networking events, there are plenty of opportunities to connect with others who share an interest in global affairs. The committees
UF Uppsala has several committees, each focused on different aspects of the association’s work and activities. Joining a committee is a great way to get involved and contribute to the association’s goals. The Presidium serves as the administrative branch of UF Uppsala. Joining typically requires prior involvement in the association and a strong understanding of its activities.
