UF Uppsala

As a UF traveler, you get the chance to meet international organizations, local authorities, institutions, NGOs, and businesses, providing you a deeper understanding of the region’s current affairs.

In the travel group, we decide destinations together. These are commonly topical in the foreign affairs arena or interesting due to being overlooked in the media. There are usually two trips in the academic year that vary in length. Keep an eye on our Facebook group and here on the main website for updates, meeting info, and the ability to influence the choice of future trips.

Everyone who is a member of UF Uppsala can join on a trip – we only require a genuine interest!

Ideal profile for our team

The Uppsala Association of International Affairs recruits activity trustees at the start of each operational year (around August/September). The travel trustees work closely with the Heads of Travel to organize the events, which requires a lot of creativity, dedication and drive to be part of the team. If you want to take the biggest role, by May every year the Association elects the board for the nearest upcoming operational year, there you can become the next Head of Travel.

The position requires a responsible, independent, and passionate person with excellent organizational and social skills.

The main work assignment is to organize two trips abroad during the operational year one in Europe and another one outside to a farther place. Examples of other work assignments are helping to plan meetings, help with administrative tasks such as booking transport and accommodation for the trip. Remember that as a member of the travel group, you have the significant responsibility of a large group of members that come to our trips. So, while it is one of the most rewarding groups to be part of, it is also the one of the most challenging.

The team 23/24
